The Wandering Isles: Session 2 - Recap

The day began with an ominous sight: a strange ship appearing on the horizon, its presence unsettling the group. Amaedrianna, curious and concerned, sought any clues regarding her past by diving into the academy's library. To her dismay, the information she found was limited to third-party accounts and rumours, with no mention of Vurduar’s people or history.

Elsewhere, Eos enrolled in a fencing class, facing Amaedrianna in her first test. Despite being a novice, Eos demonstrated remarkable skill, holding her own in the duel.

Meanwhile, Hatsu had a heart-to-heart conversation with Boreal, emphasizing the importance of composure in their new environment. This discussion, though brief, helped to ground Hatsu and set the tone for the day.

At breakfast, Slate joined the group, hesitantly accepting a ration offered by Amaedrianna, his first meal on the island not provided by the academy. The gesture, though simple, symbolized a growing bond within the group.

Weslyn, encountering the mysterious ship earlier spotted by Amaedrianna, watched as Simul Decker, the infamous heir of the Decker legacy, emerged alongside his bodyguard Ironclad and a security team. Decker, in typical fashion, signed autographs for the group, though Amaedrianna mischievously swiped one and reverse pick-pocketed it onto Dash.

Intrigued by the ship, Weslyn approached it, noting its warmth and concluding that it might be a living creature.

In his dorm, Dash found himself chasing Chicken the Fox, who had stolen his invitation. The chase led through the halls, though Dash quickly realized this was not Chicken, but an imposter. As the pursuit reached the forest, Weslyn pleaded with the group to stop. They relented, and Weslyn offered the real Chicken a bag of sand, sending the fox into the woodlands.

Returning to the academy, Dash went to report the theft but was knocked out. During a discussion among the group, Weslyn noticed that Amaedrianna shared a language with him, but their conversation was interrupted by a shadowy figure entering with an unconscious Dash in hand. Initially startled, the group was reassured when Dash recognized her, introducing her to them.

Now, the party faces a new challenge: deciding the fate of this mysterious figure. The day's events have left them with more questions than answers, but their journey continues, navigating the shadows and mysteries of their new world.
